When setting up Purge rules a date is required, and typically banks are purging closed accounts. Without a Closed Date, banks do not have reliable method of flagging the correct accounts with rules, making Purge un-usable for Deposits. Right now, a bank can only use the Closed Date if they add it as a Flex Field. The problem with this is that if this Flex Field wasn’t added during Implementation, there is no way to populate the field for accounts that are old enough that they are no longer in the data, which are exactly the type of accounts that need to be purged.
